Congratulations to Julia Mergheim who was appointed apl. Professor
On February 27, Dr.-Ing. Julia Mergheim was appointed apl. Professor for Applied Mechanics.
She is one of our principle investigators and leads project C on ‚Macroscale Continuum Modeling and FE Simulation of Electromechanical Coupling in Perovskite-Based Materials‘.
Mergheim has been researching and teaching at FAU since 2009, her main focus is on numerical mechanics, especially fracture mechanics, multi-scale material modeling and process simulations, e.g. for additive manufacturing.
Due to her work on material modelling and her interest in multiphysics simulations she became a member of GRK2495. With the appointment as professor, the FAU honours apl. Professor Mergheim scientific achievements.
