On March 17th, 2026, Viktoria Kraft successfully defended her doctoral thesis. We are delighted to congratulate her on the completion of her Dr.-Ing degree within the IRTG and the International Joint Degree Program.
Viktoria was the doctoral researcher of our second generation in Project H – Stress Modulated Electromechanical Coupling of Lead-Free Ferroelectrics under the supervision of Prof. Kyle Webber.
Her research was conducted in an interdisciplinary and international environment under the supervision of Prof. Koichi Hayashi and collaborators from the German partner institutions, reflecting the strong scientific exchange at the core of the project.
With this achievement, Viktoria becomes the first doctoral candidate on the German side of Project H to successfully complete the Joint Degree Program — an important milestone for the collaboration between the partner institutions.
Following her doctoral studies, Viktoria has joined the Nagoya Institute of Technology (Nitech), where she continues her work in research and materials science holding a position as a specially appointed assistant professor.
