High School students visiting the Institute of Glass and Ceramics
Over 50 fith graders from the „explorer club“ of Christian-Ernst-Gymnasium visited the Institute of Glass and Ceramics for the first time. The researchers of the institute and members of our IRTG introduced them to piezoelectric materials and ceramics: How can one generate energy from a crystal and what does this has to do with parking cars? What do porours ceramics and bread have in common? Sounds strangem but that’s what makes research so interesting and fun!
