Strengthening International Ties: Meeting with the Consul General from Munich at FAU Erlangen
On September 18th, Prof. Kyle Webber and Ms Lena Beck had the privilege of meeting with Prof. Joachim Hornegger to welcome Consul General Kenichi Bessho. The meeting provided an excellent opportunity for insightful discussions.
During the meeting, valuable ideas and perspectives focusing on the importance of maintaining and nurturing the relationship between Germany and Japan were exchanged. It became clear that fostering these connections is crucial for continued collaboration and mutual understanding. FAU has particularly close relations with the Nagoya Institute of Technology, where cooperation began in 2011 with the establishment of the liaison office in 2013.
This meeting reinforced our commitment to maintaining strong ties between the two nations and highlighted the vital role of academic and cultural exchanges in fostering connections between our communities. Both parties recognised the importance of academic exchange between Japan and Germany as partners sharing the same values.
We look forward to future collaborations that will further strengthen the partnership between Japan and Germany.
