Saying Goodbye to the 2nd Cohort of IGK2495

As we turn the pages of our academic calendar, we reach a poignant moment of farewell and celebration.

The second cohort of the IGK 2495 at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg has successfully completed its journey.

We reflect with pride on their accomplishments as we bid them farewell.

IGK2495, at the intersection of cutting-edge research and international collaboration, has once again demonstrated its vitality through its students‘ exceptional work. This cohort approached complex problems with enthusiasm and innovation, making significant contributions to our understanding of advanced topics in Energy Conversion Systems.

Beyond their academic contributions, this group has established a legacy of camaraderie and collaboration. Coming from diverse backgrounds, they have enriched the multicultural fabric of our institution by bringing a wide array of perspectives.

As these graduates move forward, they are leaving behind not only memories, but also a robust framework for future cohorts to build upon.

On 18 December 2025, the IGK said goodbye to the second cohort with a small pre-Christmas celebration, while also introducing the third cohort, who started on 1 January 2026.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each member of the second cohort for their hard work, dedication and resilience, and we wish the third cohort well as they embark on their new chapter as members of the IGK.
