Research Stay
Within the IGK 2495 Qualification Programme, an extended Research stay around 6 to 12 months at our partner institute Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan, is planned for doctoral researchers. This reciprocal exchange of students is a central part of this international research training group.
These research stays are embedded in the individual projects as a mechanism to conduct research tasks not available at the home university. The doctoral researchers are receiving cultural training before getting to know the country for themselves. In addition to cultural workshops, the IGK 2495 in collaboration with the FAU Department of Japanese Studies has developed manuals to provide doctoral researchers from both sides with a written guide for extended research visits.
The Research stays are a great opportunity for the doctoral researchers to experience not only a foreign country, but also foreign research processes.
